Who are we?
We are an American (me/wife) German (hubby) family, traveling with our kids (3 of 'em) through Europe. Our goal was to pack up (been living in Germany for the past 13 years) and head state side... but man is the US immigration system slow. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

My husband and I are both certified Life Coaches. He's a Certified Integral Master Coach, and I am a HeartMath Resilience Coach. But we barely got to even get into our coaching professions -definitely not full time- because of, well multiple reasons really. Self-employment in Germany? Ugh. So complicated. Work for some other professional coaching firm? Nope, not enough experience. Lack of confidence. The illusion of stability in just some contracted job to have a secure income for our little family... yup, that sums it up pretty nicely.
So we found ourselves busy with three kids, both working jobs that were just ok...and sensed that we had joined the rat race. Something that we both never wanted. We met while traveling in India. We were on spiritual journeys, looking for alternative ways to live and experience life. It felt like that was a different lifetime - and the life we were living wasn't at all in alignment with our true selves.

And now, we're attempting to get back to that. And away from mandatory schooling, everyone forced to leave the house early in the morning - to go to jobs and schools that we didn't really want to go to- coming home in the afternoon just to have time to cook dinner and go to bed to repeat it all the next day. Away from working just so we can pay more and more bills. And back to traveling. Learning from and with life. Growing together as a family. Coming back to ourselves, living more in alignment with our true values.

Here we are, traveling through Europe, with ourselves, a few suitcases and a car. Waiting on a Green Card for my husband so we can do roughly the same thing stateside (but with an RV). Exploring different opportunities, learning about ourselves and perhaps most importantly: waking up everyday knowing that the life we're leading is for us, not to fulfill others expectations of us.
Oh, and by the way, the Green Card? Could be done by the Fall of '23.. or take WAY longer - no one really seems to be able to tell us exactly how long it will take. So every now and then, at the end of a Blog post, you might see something like a "Green Card Update" where I'll hopefully be updating you on the 12 step process of this whole immigration thing- any positive thoughts or prayers would be more than welcome!
