End of Summer Update

After a little summer break, I'm finally getting back to writing. So... what have we been up to? Well...

...as I mentioned briefly in my last post, we pretty much spontaneously ended up staying longer in Germany on a friends farm. There's enough work around the boarding stables to keep us busy and we're happy to help. It's pretty much the same deal a Workaway or WWOOFing arrangement would be- and we get to meet up with friends and family while they all had their summer break. A win-win on all sides. Plus, after feeling for years like we wanted to try out some kind of community with like minded people, we're pretty much trying one out here with them. It's been working out great, and we're super grateful for the opportunity to test out with good friends what works well and how we can work a live together. PLUS the kids get to learn about horses. Which is pretty gosh darn cool..

Some of the work around here: re-building an old german house

And it really was a nice summer. Lots of work while others were on vacation- but we'll have our vacation this fall. For a whole month in November, house-sitting for new-but-good friends. (We did Workaway at their place in France this past spring and they recently contacted us looking to meet up again and possibly for us to house-sit while they visit family.) For us that'll mean: more family time, less work and we're really looking forward to that.

And we're also really looking forward to visiting other close friends (that really feel more like family at this point) in just a few days. Well, depending. I'll explain in a sec.

And the house from the back- the kids got to plan their own vegetable gardens!

First where are we headed next? Back to Austria! We couldn't help but contact the amazing WWOOFing place we stayed at – in the end – for four months last year. It was our second stop on our „getting out of the system, road-world-un-schooling nomadic adventure“ and while we had only planned on being there for a month or two we stayed way longer (check out XX for my articles on their place and why we ended up staying longer). After so much time, work, laughs, sickness and health, adventures and holidays/birthdays together with those amazing people they really feel like family and we couldnt be happier to be going back to see them.

And it's almost exactly one year later. So, year two of our adventure is starting with a little reunion tour of a couple amazing hosts and families we've gotten to know on our travels. We couldnt be more grateful.

If the car starts, that is...

Yeah, that's what I was talking about when I said- depending. Our car has, just a couple random times, not started. Then when we checked under the hood, waited a day or so and fiddled around with this and that, then it suddenly DID start again. But this time it doesnt look like it'll be starting back up again. So we took it to the shop yesterday. We'll see what they say. UHG!

Bye-bye car, see you soon???

Yet another opportunity to take deep breaths and trust. Making plans and then having to change them. Being forced to stop and re-think, re-plan something...I'm really grateful I've always been a person that sees the positive side of things, and that I've been recently working on my resilience and emotional intelligence.

And you could too! Hahaha... I have to warn you- I'm going to plug my new creation! You see, since I had a little bit of time in Spain to really think things through and prioritize things in my life, I kinda figured out... what I wanna be when I grow up. Or rather, what I can do to contribute to this world that would also allign with my true purpose and calling.

Four baby cats will be finding new homes in the next days, man we'll miss playing with them every day...

Since then, so for the past 6 months, I've been combining all my knowledge- from my education in communication and developmental psychology, to my yoga teacher training, to my knowledge of brain gym, HeartMath, my resilience/meditation coach training, emotional intelligence books I've read, as well as much much more- to create an 8 week resilience course. And I'm so freakin excited about it.

And now the plug: I need a pilot group.

About 10 people to take the course, FOR FREE ($500 value) to test it out for me. To let me know: Does it make sense the way I've laid it out? Do all the links work in the handouts? What can I improve on? All while possibly transforming their life for the better and becoming more resilient. Sounds pretty cool, right?

Check out my FB or Instagram if you think you're interested. Or just contact me thought the website. And if it doesn't speak to you at the moment then maybe share my Facebook or Instagram posts (omg you guys I'm on Instagram! Finally!) that would be a HUGE help in and of itself! Seriously. End.of. plug!

So, I'm really excited. But also TOTALLY scared. This is my first time doing something like this. Setting goals- meeting them. Developing a course. Designing handouts. Collecting resources. Adversiting it all. AGH! Such a huge edgy anxiety filled step, yet at the the same time it feels SO freakin cool. And like I'm finally doing something I REALLY really love.

More on this next time- our new family activity: shooting bows and arrows!

So to re-cap: Car, not working. Travels? Hopefully soon! Work, plenty (Workaway type hours and then my program development every spare moment). Kids, happy. New professional journey, starting soon! Floating in the unknow and full of bliss – yes! Any questions?

I really hope the next update will be from Austria, before heading to France in the fall... everything running smoothly with my pilot group, and the car.... etc... we'll see! And as always I'll keep you updated! I can't wait.

Love and hugs to you all.
